After pickup in the late morning, your day tour starts by heading toward the old city of Phuket, stopping by the tourism office for an introduction to the area's history and Sino-Portuguese architecture. Then stop at a viewpoint over the city for photo ops.

In the afternoon, you'll have a lunch break (own expense), and then your tour continues with a visit to Wat Chalong, the largest and most prominent Buddhist temple on the island. Admire the 3-story main building, and head upstairs to see Buddha statues and enjoy a view from the top level.

Next, visit the Phuket Big Buddha, a marble statue visible from a large part of the island. If you want to leave your mark, you can purchase a small piece of marble to have mounted on one of the pillars. Then drive along a coastal road on the west side of the island, stopping for a photo op before arriving at Laem Promthep in the early evening. Watch the sunset from this southwestern tip of Thailand, and then head to a rum factory in Chalong for a cocktail made with organic rum.
